Y-DNA Chart
don't see yourself
or see something that needs fixin'?
Let us know!
This YDNA chart looks at who the YDNA line is for the person you clicked
on,
does not necessarily mean that a YDNA test has been done for an
associated line*. For you to see what YOUR YDNA line is, you need to START with you or
start with your grandfather or paternal grandfather, etc Therefore,
please login and add yourself (you may privatize your info) and your
paternal lines so you can see how they chart.
Note that if the first person in this chart is female, a male of that
surname Smith is required to do the YDNA testing, such as a husband, son, cousin. We are the Smith DNA Project at FamilyTreeDNA. If you are wanting to test YDNA for a surname other than Highsmith, Nesmith, Schmidt, Schmitt, Smeds, Smidt, Smith, Smithe, Smither, Smithers, Smithey, Smithhart, Smiths, Smithson, Smithy, Smitt, Smyth, Smythe please do a

For the Smith Official DNA Project (All Locations) a minimum
of 25, or better, 37 markers, is strongly recommended. Many times one can appear
to match other kits but the match falls apart after 12 markers. We do not
attempt to match kits into groups on less than 25 with the exception of a strong
paper trail or known family kinship with another tester.
