I am a 37/37 match to Leonard Smith 1735 of Dinwiddle Co, VA. My line involves Dunn's back to one Stephen Smith Dunn b 1807 in Fairfield Co, SC-1868 Henry Co, GA. However, found on 1840 AL census records. mother is Sarah Smith of Stephen Smith,Jr to Stephen Smith, Sr. line. My wonderings is since his mother is from another Halogroup E1b1a, then who was his father?
This Stephen did have a Dunn brothers Hirum, Thomas, William. But there decendants all come back Dunn's.
I had a lady in IN doing Dunn's pay for my test. Kit number 204323.
I am at a road block on decovering which Smith Boy got there before a Dunn.
Thanks for any help you can give.

For the Smith Official DNA Project (All Locations) a minimum of 25, or better, 37 markers, is strongly recommended. Many times one can appear to match other kits but the match falls apart after 12 markers. We do not attempt to match kits into groups on less than 25 with the exception of a strong paper trail or known family kinship with another tester.
