    • Benjamin Franklin Thomas, 88, of East state road, Shelby, Ohio died April 4, 1964, after an illness of one week. Born in Rowan County, KY, April 29, 1875, he had been a Shelby, Ohio resident 40 years and was a retired millwright. He was a member of the First Church of God, and was a Spanish American War veteran. Surviving are his wife Nanni, five stepsons: Joseph Patton of Dallas, Texas: Charles Patton of Tuscon, AZ: Wilbur Patton of Oklahoma City, OK: Eugene Patton of Shelby, OH; Robert Patton of Rome, OH: two stepdaughters; Mrs. Cora Burchie at home; Mrs Eva Flynn of Lake Galion; 24 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Burial to be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby, OH.
