Autosomal
Line went through Baldwin County, Georgia; Tuscaloosa County, Alabama; Sunflower County, Mississippi

Would like a male Smith who has a direct line of descent to consider doing a YDNA test for this line

Pretty sure I've traced this Peter Smith to have shown in his will son John Smith who I've been missing the link through to Bibb County, AL and then on to Lauderdale, MS. I am a direct paternal link back to John Smith, born circa 1759 and died in Lauderdale county, MS in 1839.
I've taken Y-DNA 111 and shown to be linked with all the Smiths from Virginia, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, TX, LA lineages

This John Smith

"Mrs. Porter believes
we think mistakenly
• that Elizabeth (Smith) Wayman was
the daughter of Adam Smith, whose will was made 11 Aug. 1792 and pr. at Harrodsburg
Court House, Mercer Co., Ky., Mar. 1793. (Ky. Pioneer and Court Recs., p. 68) His
will mentions his wife Elizabeth, and chil. Ezekiel, Benj., Elizabeth, and Solomon; wits.
Zachariah and John Smith. In Nov. 1949 Mr. Henry E. Christianson, Supt. of the Research
Dept. in the Library at Salt Lake City, told us that the name of Adam Smith was not men-
tioned in their Wayman records; also that the man whom Elizabeth Smith married was called
"Edmund Warman."
