At the Smith DNA Project, we always welcome suggestions for changes in the interest of keeping the lines as accurate as possible within the bounds of DNA. Someone sent a message this morning about the John Smith b 1715 VA (Middlesex?) m Ann and noted that there is no source proving that John is the father of John Smith Jr on those lines. I have sent his message on to the 2 people that have that lineage for comment. If anyone knows for sure one way or the other, please weigh in. And of course, we can always put an early ancestor as a Theory Association, meaning that it is not proven and therefore not showing in a straight line but still associated so that this family is not lost in the general mix.

After reaching out and speaking to one of the members who had John Smith b 1715, and lacking proof at this point, have unlinked John Smith b 1715 VA from John Smith b 1735 VA who went to Hardin Co KY; they are listed as an assocition requiring source proof.
