Valentine C Smith was my second great grandfather. His son, Robert Valentine Smith, was my first great grandfather, and his son, George Washington Smith, was my grandfather. I have strong documentation of all these people gathered by my mother, Lona Smith Johnson, prior to her death.
Christina Duvall was Valentine's first wife, and my relative. He had a second wife, Elizabeth, Furbish, after Chrissie's death.
This line of the Smith family may be direct descendants of the Smiths who came to North Carolina with Sir Walter Raleigh and part of what is considered "The Lost Colony".

Walter Elwood Smith was my grandfather's (Walter Franklin Holland's) maternal grandfather. Audrey was his mom.
