• Notes

  Found a copy of a letter written by George's son to my grandfather. His name was John and he was called Jack. Don't know where he was living when he wrote the letter. According to the letter, Henry, Mary, George and Charles moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1872 or 1873. Henry died about 1885 or 1886. We know George was born 18 Jun 1870 in in Chicago, Cook County, IL., and Charles 23 Jul 1871 in Mansfield, Richland County, OH. So the family moved to Nebraska when the George was about 2 or 3 years old and Charles was 1 or 2 years old. Henry & Mary were marreid about 1868 in Philadelphia, PA. So... they went west, back east then back west. Why? Could some some census help here.
