    • In a rootsweb listing, "Rogers/jacobs/Sharp/Hedrick and More" Hank Rogers wrote "I know John was the brother of Ann Smith Wood and her father is Samuel Smith who was of Halifax Co. in 1765. The Samuel listed there had wife Grissel..." He also stated that "the children listed under Samuel Smith and Grissel Locker didn't seem to associate with any of the these blackwater (sic) river families". - Kent Smith
