    VA, during the Revolution; soldier married Sally JENKINS 6 May 1772 in
    Pittsylvania County or Henry County; subsequently Franklin County, VA
    and soldier died there (in Pittsylvania County) in 1784 and his widow
    lived there some six or seven years, then moved to Greene County, GA,
    then moved to Morgan County, GA in 1810. She applied there April 12,
    1845, age 89.

    A copy of widow's will is in the file dated 5 January 1842 in Morgan
    County, GA in which she names her children: Betsey SMITH, a son Bird
    SMITH, Lucy HARPER, children of her deceased son, William SMITH (the
    grandchildren were not named) and she named her son Bird SMITH, her
    daughter, Betsey SMITH, and her nephew Granbury [Greenberry] JENKINS
    as exc'rs of her will. Josiah WELLBORN, James B. HEAD and Mary STAR
    were witnesses to her will.
